One of the best things about surfing is taking surf trips. There is nothing like that physical and mental sensation that takes over when you are in search of good waves. Any surfer knows that there is also a wonderful moment on the way to the sea, the "pre-surfing" phase, that space that lies between the city and the sea. That moment you know the wind, the sea and the tide fits perfectly in a specific spot and you get in the car with your board in search of it. Anyone who loves surfing knows that feeling of driving to the surf, anxiously anticipating what the ocean will look like when you get there.

There is only one way to make this moment even more perfect: to listen to a good music that lights up your soul and gets you in the mood to enter the sea. The world of surfing has always been very connected with the musical universe. In the 60's, a new genre of rock was born in Southern California inspired by the surf culture known as "Surf Rock". From this genre arose iconic artists like The Beach Boys, who ruled several elements of the style of surfing rock n roll.

Although many songs of this genre refer to sun, sand and obviously to the sport itself. There are other lyrics where the allusion to those elements is not so obvious, but in a melodic matter, we hear the saxophone and the guitar electric that so much particularize surf and its variants; instruments through which this relaxed and adventurous lifestyle is celebrated under the sun.

So, if you have a surf trip planned soon, try tuning into this surf inspired playlist we have put together for you to get you in the mood:
